"What the heck is a WorldBuilding EXPO?"!

Hi , I'm thrilled to connect with you today!

A friend recently texted me, "I'm so happy EXPO was awesome, but um... what is it?" That’s on me. I sometimes get so focused on making things the best they can be that I forget you can't read my mind. So, let me explain!

I built the Fiberarts Community on a platform called "goBrunch." This platform offers rich graphics, videos, screen sharing, and many other tools to make your experience immersive and productive. It's hard to describe – you really need to experience it yourself.

In our Fiberarts Community space, there are various rooms, each with a different purpose and theme. I've been told our space is "amazing," and I'm pretty proud of that. You could say it's like its own "world."

The WorldBuilding EXPO was like an online comic con, featuring over 60 booths from different "worlds." Our Fiberarts Gallery is a four-story art gallery housed in an old factory building in downtown Toronto, with a rooftop garden that offers a view of the harbour front. Other booths were incredible too, like a school bus for discussing tough conversations, and virtual travel by boat, limo, and plane to the main event. There were talks on using WordPress, the power of Tarot, and most places offered freebies!

Hint: I'm leaving the art gallery open as part of the community, so the freebies will still be there when you visit.

My sister, Shadowspub, and I met some wonderful people, made connections, and enjoyed hearing other people's stories. GoBrunchers are a lot like fiber artists – we love sharing our passions and helping others.

I have exciting news to share with you, my wonderful subscribers! I've added a new room to the Fiberarts Space called "Gather in the Garden." It features a variety of stitches and techniques in its design and can seat 14 people, so there's plenty of room. I might even host a movie night!

Belted Kingfisher I spotted a Kingfisher fishing along the river by my home and just had to recreate him in fiber art because my experience tells me he won't sit still for a pic!

European Starling These birds are common in Southern Ontario. While some see them as pests, I find them beautiful and have recreated them in fiber art.
